MANUFACTURERS OF HEATING & COOLING COILS

Company was established in 1967 by Orestis N. Hartofylax and is involved in the manufacturing of heating and cooling coils. Today it is directed by his son Nikolaos Or. Hartofylax, B. Eng. - M.Sc., mechanical engineer.

Our long experience (over thirty five (35) years) enables us to analyze, design, and manufacture coils which conform with the exact thermal and dimensional requirements of the client. We don't expect our client to adapt his needs to our production.

The coils are constructed with materials, which are suitable for the intended use i.e. water, freon, steam, oil, glycol, ammonia etc. ensuring high thermal performance and maximum mechanical strength.

The high thermal performance is achieved by strong contact of the copper tube to the aluminum fin (by mechanical means), which creates the inner rings appearing in the photograph.

This results to a highly efficient heat transfer from the copper tube to the aluminum fin and also a continuous mixture of the fluid inside the tube thus improving the internal heat transfer coefficient accelerating the thermal effects further. Special lips are formed to the collectors so as to be better brazed onto the tubes and to increase the mechanical strength. In cases of high temperatures and/or pressures we use appropriate silver brazing alloys.

At the end stage of construction all coils are tested with air at pressure of thirty (30) bars.
